What Does Tanzania Need?

Yes, it a new cabinet? How new is it new?

I think the decision by the president due to the pressure from Member of the Parliament to disolve the past cabinet and build a new one was a good move. It was a good move because more than anything no one was anyway happy with the way the various ministers failed to deliver or when they delivered was so much below the desired expectations.

Despite being optimistic I can I have doubts if the current cabinet will deliver as much as we expect from them. More  than anything we are seeing so much of familiar faces which may also mean a good thing because of experience these people have but it may also spoil the meaning of a new beginning. If some of these ministers failed to deliver in the first, second even third cabinets to be in, what ensures us they will now.

But also another concern is that of the size of the cabinet, these ministers may want to get busy and want to deliver badly but I think they will have difficult time to get their budgets in line with the nation ability. How can we have so many ministries and ministers while still there is a lot of the budget we depend from donors? I think the move to do changes to the cabinet was a good one, but it could have been better if the ministries where trimmed and merged to reduce operation cost to one of the poorest government in Africa. Lets how this will work out, but I believe we could do better than this..
