Will Sub-Saharan Youths React?

After what happened and even during the revolutions in Tunisia, Egypt and Libya everyone kept and still asks, will it happen in other parts of Africa especially the sub-Saharan. Are we real going to see the same thing? As food and oil prices keep on rising, and the cost of living continue rising to new heights, everyone kept and still asks, will it happen.

From my view, its far from happening, and if it happens it will be triggered by post-elections problems. In most of Sub-Saharan Africa the situation is a bit different. Still there is no a platform that may unite more people for such a cause, plus due to large percent of sub-Saharan being illiterate or even ending up in very low level of education tree we find there is no such an understanding and belief for a change.

Also in most of these nations with exception of few such as Uganda and Zimbabwe there is a frequent timed change in presidency through voting (though the question of transparency in elections may still be in question). There is low usage of tools such as social media as a platform for discussion on issues relating to core problems and difficulties experienced by the people. But I believe as time goes on with the wide adoption rate of internet enabled devices by youths mainly in high schools and high learning institutions a lot is going to change in terms of platforms.

I believe change is coming to sub-Saharan Africa, but I believe it will take a while..and if it comes, it will mostly be through elections. But here is where the problem might rise from. As we see in several elections in sub-Saharan Africa, it is the time when a lot of tensions arise, and I believe if the trend of elections ridging continue then through elections is when we might see a rise and overthrow of governments that keep forcing to remain in power through cheating in ballots.

Long time political parties in sub-Saharan Africa such as CCM in Tanzania, continue to see rise in opposition strength and either we like it or not this is seen as largely due to loss of support by majority of educated mass, especially young people. There is only one thing that may still help these parties to win back the confidence of the voters, and that is better policies addressing the problem of employments, food prices and the issues of management of natural resources. Without these issues being addressed no one will be surprised to see the same wave of change through unethical means sweeping sub-Saharan Africa.

Change in any ways, but I hope sub-Sahara region will choose a peaceful way and without any foreign power influence or bloodshed.

AM WORKING HARD!

Thanks a lot. I have been receiving emails, people asking me what am doing 'why am I not updating my blog?'. Am working on few things and few weeks from now I will be updating this blog with also my activities socially.
I have always been looking for opportunities to encourage my fellow youths in social, political and economical developments and now I am about to take further steps in doing that. From March this year I will be spending much time in Dodoma, and when am there I will visit various local schools provide seminars to youths on various topics and where they will be teachers scarcity am planning to be spending one to two days in a week for helping to cover that space in local schools.
Am excited and it is going to very interesting and special time of the year to me, you got any view that will help me in making this thing more easy I welcome it.
I can't wait to ensure there are smiles on the little kids and fellow youths! I will be posting all developments, so stay with me!

THE EAST AFRICA COMMUNITY TO E.A FEDERATION!-my view!

Thanks guys for the nice few comments you gave on the topic ''THE EAST AFRICA COMMUNITY TO FEDERATION!''. I didn't want to give my view before hearing your view.

HERE IS WHAT I THINK!

Firstly the idea of E.A Federation is a great thing, socially, economically without forgetting politically. It shows how much our E.African leaders are united in promoting what we may call an African unity. But still there something that worries me! Its about the youth of the East Africa! What is my point in here? What I say is that we shouldn't move in such great pace, because we may forget to look what we see as small things/issues but they may cause a great damage in the future. On my follow up I got about the E.A Community youth council, what we should ask is how many youths in this East African countries know about it, what are its functions? How are the members elected? That isn't the point, but the point is the E.A Community shouldn't forget the voice of youths, because if these determine the future of the region, if they wont understand properly the advantages of the community or the federation I'm telling you it wont take long, it will change to history. The youth need to be aware of this federation topic, the youth council{if it real exists, and if it has got real serious youths} must play a big part in this.
Secondly, there is the issue of national unity. As one reader gave a comment ''the big problem of East Africa is and will be-we have more than 200 tribes that we can't control''. The North Uganda problem has to solved, the Kenya tribalism has to be solved, the Zanzibar CUF-CCM has to solved too, then we can talk about a FEDERATION! A HAPPY FEDERATION MUST BE BUILT BY HAPPY MEMBERS!!!
