My Tanzania, Will You Let Me Down?

I am a citizen of a country, a beautiful country in the East coast of Africa. I don't call it beautiful because I have been grown up to call it that way. No!, I am calling it beautiful because in the 23 years of my life, i have travel, seen, and lived in many parts of it, witnessed first hand the diversity of it, and more than anything fall in love with it.

I have embraced the diversity that cuts across religions, tribes, and a lot of other things that make Tanzania one of the most beautiful country in Africa.The differences I have mentioned earlier have been a cause of conflicts that escalates to total chaos, violence and death of thousands of people in our neighbor states, through out other states across Africa the story has been the same. But it is the existence of these differences, tolerating them, and stay united through one identification among us, is what has made us sustain peace and unity through it all.

The State Of The Union: Will TANZANIA Survive?

Sure, there is a rise of discussions, hot debates on the Tanzania union than ever before. The hot violence that happened in Zanzibar in the past few days I believe are a result of a long internal grieve and luck of enough forum for discussions on union issues. 

As a strong supporter of Pan-Africanism processes I don't believe in disintegration of African states as what happened in Sudan, I support more integration that may ultimately lead to unification of more African states.

What Does Tanzania Need?

Yes, it a new cabinet? How new is it new? 

I think the decision by the president due to the pressure from Member of the Parliament to disolve the past cabinet and build a new one was a good move. It was a good move because more than anything no one was anyway happy with the way the various ministers failed to deliver or when they delivered was so much below the desired expectations.

Social Media Seminar in Dar soon!

I am in early stages of organization for social media seminar in late July or in August for young people from high schools and high learning institutions in Dar es Salaam. Looking forward to be the first of it's kind in terms of the main topic presented and number of participants. Last year I did conduct two seminars in two of popular high schools in Dodoma town, more than anything I learned a lot from them. More young people sign up in social media sites such as Facebook but with little knowledge of the significance of their engagement and also forgetting a lot of other useful social media tools that may help them in both their academic and personal lives.

AFRICANS MAKING AN IMPACT IN AFRICA!

On 23rd this month I had to travel from Dar es Salaam to the amazing Moshi town under invitation by a local NGO that is working hard to bring a change in the way the society thinks of volunteer-ism. Its a sad fact that near everywhere you come across various community development projects with volunteers it has always been foreigners. People from USA, Canada and other European states paying hundred of dollars to come to volunteer in Africa.

With little knowledge of the culture in the society they come to work in, plus short time of their stay we find most of these projects not bring the aimed results or success.

This is why Africa Volunteer Corps came into being, a Moshi based NGO founded with a mission to unite passionate, qualified African volunteers with African NGOs to deepen their impact and empower Africans to play a vital role in shaping Africa's future.

Before allocating the volunteers to the specific NGOs, AVC conduct a seminar to impart important knowledge and train the volunteers on various skills that will help them in their activities to their respective areas and even far beyond when they finish their time with volunteer work. And this is where I came into being, I went there to train on Social Media use. :-) !

I met great people and it was a real great experience and as a promoter of 'WE CAN' slogan for my fellow Tanzanians what AVC is doing is more than 'awesome'. I believe young people if are empowered as what AVC is doing there is a lot of good and amazing positive change that may take place in our communities. And this is just a beginning AVC has a goal to expand all over Tanzania, Mwanza is next!

What is Post-Gaddafi Era Promising?

He was not a perfect leader, but who is? Democracy is adopted in Africa, and it is adopted from Western countries, I believe democracy is important tool in today's era but I also believe a country that is ready for democracy by the will of its people is much more important than that forced into them. I also believe in sense of either economic growth and good quality of living majority of people in Africa will be ready to trade and give up democracy to achieve the above critical things in life.

Maybe yes, Gaddafi deserved to removed in power, but it could be more sense if it was the will of the majority of Libyans and by Libyans themselves and any other way around. It would have been much better for a good and open legal procedure to be followed, but is International Law real realistic? How many crimes do Western powers commit and nothing is brought forward? How many civilians have died under Western powers interference in sovereign states? A lot, but that is the side that the International Law ignores. Justice should be to both sides, when it is only operational to one side it is hard for it to gain respect.

As the Minister for Foreign Affairs [Tanzania], stated, AU has not been respected by the NATO when it was about to pass through peaceful means to end the Libyan crisis. The need reforms at the United Nations Security Council are now more than crucial to insure the matter of sovereignty is not only to the Western powers but also to developing African states.

If Africa will continue to let foreign powers mess with it's stability and bring instability for their own capitalistic interests then we should know one thing, that is Africa will always be an underdog. Unless we stand up, with one voice, against foreign powers getting into our lands and bring instability in the name of democracy though its for their own interests, Africa will remain in poverty while they will always prosper!

Anyone who will try to tell me NATO went to Libya for democracy, I will ask you few questions. Why not North Korea? Why not Burma? Why not Somalia? Why not Cuba? and lastly why not CHINA?

A analytically reasoning will open your eyes and let you see that their is nothing than propaganda with what has happened in Libya. Even if Gaddafi deserved to be removed still what he did for Libya in terms of economy and other issues he deserved better. Even after all his body deserved at least a last respect! Africa had several leaders, but few were able to stand firm against being bullied in International Arena. But whats important is that few were able to bring even a half of such a high quality living standards!

As the day ends, I still see no day that a western government leader brought to international courts, and don't tell me they don't commit international crimes. A lot of people die every week in middle east due to unjustified interventions. Remember the issue of D.R.Congo? Who encouraged the civil war there? What about the human rights abusing Guantanamo bay? 

I think of Africa. My mother land! Beautiful and rich in resources! The major obstacles standing in it's way; neo-colonialism and forced policies...more foreign investments, going away with Billions of worth of natural resources while paying less than 10% of their profits...but no one sees that, no ONE..!!!

Its all about greedy and national interests! We students and scholars understands, so its hard to push blames..

I hope one thing, we need a real complex balance of power.....! Africa wake up!!!! As Gaddafi is gone, I hope the goals for an African currency and Africa Monetary Union wont go away with him. These are great and important things, and I believe Gaddafi's commitment to these principles might be one of the reasons for such dedicated operation to remove him.

All in all, there are a lot of undemocratic and 'real' oppression leaderships in the world...so unless we get the real reasons why Libya? Africa will never trust in Western powers, and furthermore never again trust the UN Security council. To be lied and ignored is what several states got from NATO, and that is real abuse of influence!

As Tanzania we look forward for new co-operation with the new Libya, as our Foreign Minister said, we pray for a better and peaceful Libya though we cant hide our concerns over the future of Libya!

Compare Libya's GDP per capita ($12K+) with countries like Nigeria ($1K+) or Botswana, probably the most stable "democracy" in Africa at $6K+ (democracy is not always the solution; sometimes it's nothing more than a money-wasting farce).

Gaddafi was a dictator, he supported many questionable cause and held on to power for too long, and it is best that he goes now, but while we celebrate his removal let's not completely erase our memories of what elsehe did, or forget why many of us were also, from time to time, rather proud of him, frustrating as he may have been."

Tanzania; Is There A Better Today or Tomorrow?

That question is everywhere in Tanzania.... some are able to speak about their economical pain while others who can't, you can plainly see it from their facial expressions.

Oil prices are never stable, today a hundred higher, tomorrow 50 shilling less, next week it goes over a 50 Shilling higher again. Power supply is never stable, small scale and medium industries, which mainly owned by Tanzanians fail to keep up with the power shortage and the rising cost when using generators, hence a lot of layoffs and fall of these industries.

More people jobless, more young people unemployed...

Just like other East Africa states, mother nature has not been too kind, it has not been the best year in agriculture output. With transportation costs rising at an alarming level, foods reaching the markets become very expensive for many to afford different dishes.

 Majority In Tanzania Are Still Living Under 1 Doller/Per Day

Tanzanians are now more alert with political affairs than ever, they are tired of mere promises, tired of political gestures and politicking! They want a government that listens, acts, plans and implement. 

Tanzanians are angry, but they are holding it inside, hoping everything will pass, a brighter day is on the way... and we all pray for this holding to go on....cause we all know what will happen when it reaches a state of no more.

And as a Tanzanian, I pray for a better future too..a better today is what we all want....but a better 'reachable-tomorrow' is also not a worse deal!!!

Politicians are cautious than ever, yes.. they have realize that the masses are watching.... staying alert than ever...!! Tired of lies, tired of promises of a better tomorrow!!! All Tanzania needs is a better leadership, better policies and better implementation! We got all that it takes to be a middle class economy and beyond!

WOW!! AN AWESOME WEEKEND!!

On Friday I did visit another high school in Dodoma town, Dodoma Secondary. It is one of the most famous secondary school in Dodoma region. It has students from form 1 to 4, and high school students of form 5 and 6.

It had an awesome experience there, from the first day that I met the Second Master to submit my application to conduct the seminar in Internet and Social Media use to high school students. He was real happy with my project and he directed me to the Academic Master, who gave me a real good support until the Friday when I went to meet the students.

It was a real lovely session, everyone was real excited and very open. The more I do this project the more I realize how important it is. Seeing them understanding better the basic of how internet works and Social media in general has been a real interesting subject to them. Encouraging them on how to set up their first email address, a first privacy setting, awareness of other social media sites and their uses-from Wikis, Blogs, File Sharing {Youtube,Flickr} and even how to sign up and use twitter!

It has been a great moment, and I look forward to visit another school within two weeks. Ooohhhh This is real interesting!!

A Successful Start!

I had a good start today for my project promoting internet and social media use and awareness for High School students in Tanzania. I worked hard to create a very easy to understand presentation about internet and social media. I worked on it for more than a total of 10 hours, thanks for the help I got from my brother who is in Dodoma for few days visit.


After all that hard work on presentation, today I woke up in morning ready to go for the first day of my project, visiting Central High School, located within Dodoma Town. With a projector that I got in the last minutes, I was with all that I did need for today´s presentation to go smoothly. Yesterday I visited the school to keep posters for today´s program, with the support of the school government I was sure it will all go perfect! BUT!!!!!!! I feared one thing, POWER! But I got there and everything was well, I had the students and electricity was OK.

After presenting on what Internet and Social Media is, I have come to realise there is more to be done than what our government and society think. In my log book out of all more than 40 students who did write down there contacts only few filled the email address space, and of those non got it right! And these were not O Level students, remember am dealing with A Level students, who have about a year to join university.

As I discuss and answer their questions I just realise how much we have to do to educate more youth on all things relate to internet. From setting up an email address to privacy settings of their social networks profiles.

International Day For Street Children Is Here!!

Still thinking what am going to do for this important international day yet! But I can't stop asking myself what if all that money governments use for arms and war at least 10% of it could be used for a good cause such as helping these children out of streets!!?!! I am compiling some important facts on Street Children problem across Africa and the world, I will update them here soon!!!

Lets see what our 'leaders' will say this time around, I look forward for a lot of speeches then zero actions! Across Africa and the world in general the issue of street children is kept at bay by policy makers, they face various challenges both from their streets and governments crack downs!!

A 'Kijiji' Visit!

Okay, am being honest..it has been about 4 years since the last time I set foot in my ancestors origin...my tribe homeland!!! Am Zigua by tribe, Tanzanian by nation..
Am being honest, I don't know my mother tongue and that doesn't mean am not proud of that,..am learning..! ;-)

Okay I decided to make this visit because I missed it and I wanted to greet relatives,kins and etc...but also since my government campaigns about 'Kilimo Kwanza' initiative ['Kilimo Kwanza' roughly translates to Agriculture priority or whatever it can be but it is about encouraging
'Agriculture sector revolution'...], therefore since my brother was thinking about investing in agriculture in our home town, I too looked into the possibility for a joint venture..Am serious, everything is possible all it needs is effort and commitment so am going to give it in.

Do you want to hear about my little 'kijiji' [Village] trip? Okay here I came,firstly my kijiji is named Mgombezi, it is found few kilometres from Korogwe town. The village is located some few kilometers south of Korogwe town in what was once a profitable busy sisal processing area.

Okay this is what happened, it was a one day trip, slept at my family home then the next day I had a chance to go deeper into the interior, where poverty and happy people is all you could see. Happy people not meaning they don't have problems but they are happy and they don't worry much about life as the town dwellers. By motorcycle we went to a farm, worked some things there, am being honest, i didn't hold a 'jembe', then we visited relatives and it was not a matter of choice having a meal, no...it was a must, if you pass a visit eating something will be a real gift to your hosts. So we had tea and snacks.

And in the same day in the afternoon I left, had severe flu....because it was dusty and plus the motorcycle ride, it even made the matter worse. Or maybe it is because of being much of a city and town boy....?....nah nah nah!!!! Am planning to be back there before I join college in September, to volunteer in a school. The village has a secondary school has 'teachers crisis'! Come'n what is that?- Welcome to Africa! Welcome to Tanzania! that means you might find in a whole secondary school of more than 200 students taught by 4 teachers...!!

But one thing pissed me off so much is that I couldn't tweet when I was there!! My Vodacom modem received signals of above 50% but they were Edge and with no Internet connection!!! Karibu Tanzania! Karibu Tanga, Karibu Mgombezi my 'hometown'! and oohh..thanks Lord, we experienced no blackout when we were at Mgombezi.....

Tanzanian music has been growing and growing, much of the traditional style music has now been for cultural events and for other special occasions while music styles such as Hip-Hop, R&B, pop, Zouk, Taarab and dance music have been dominating the music industry. This means Tanzanian music has been highly influenced by foreign music styles. For example there various music artists from D.R.Congo who are signed by various dance music groups. This is because the D.R.Congo Zouk music has been of a influence in Tanzania.

Among youths it is R&B and Hip-Hop that have been doing good for the past ten years. There even came a name known as Bongo flavor, which it has been of a controversy as there has been various artists and other stake holders differ in what this means. Other group says ‘Bongo Flavor’ stands for all music produced in Tanzania being R&B, Hip-Hop, Pop and other music styles that are regarded as new generation music. The other group mainly by some artists of Hip-Hip claim Bongo Flavor to be a music style that is more of a mix of R&B, Zouk, Pop and some local styles, and that Hip-Hop stands alone. For now this tension has been cooling and so far the first group seems to be winning by wanting the name Bongo Flavor to represent all urban youths music from Tanzania. ‘Bongo’ is a nickname for Dar es Salaam that now has been extended it’s meaning to mean the whole of Tanzania. Bongo is a Swahili word for brain and it’s creativity. Tanzanians are joked of being able to get out of any situation, cleverness is how we can say it.

Traditional music has been losing it glory from Tanzanian audiences as there are very few of them that even make it to the mainstream radio plays. Example of artists who made it to a specific period of fame and success through traditional music includes Saida Karoli, she got fame and success for a certain period but as many other traditional music artists could not maintain attention of Tanzanian music lovers for such a long time.

Shortly I can say that there is a lot to be done on raising the position of traditional music in Tanzania, because at the end of the day this is the only music style that can identify us as Tanzanians. On the other hand here is the music of ‘globalized’ Tanzanians, ‘Bongo Flavor’, a source of entertainment and education to the society while at the other hand it is a source of emplyment to hundreds of Tanzania youths.

ELECTIONS ARE OVER! A TANZANIAN YOUTH REVIEW!

Firstly the report on the numbers of people who turned out for this year elections was discouraging. Only 42 percent of the 20 million registered voters turned out. This is truly a mark of low political awareness or as a friend of mine kept, that people still don't believe in free and fair elections. Whatever the case the turn out was poor!

I believe co-ordination system that was in place for processing the results was poor! Plainly poor! It might be much harder to convince the masses to take part in the future elections because they have lost trust in the body responsible for Elections due to things like what happened in these elections. It began with the mix up of names of voters by declaring some of the alive voters as dead! Dead and gone? Yeah! I can't imagine that happening to me, that is real scary! "People try to sue them!" Then it came to results, more than 72+ hours of waiting for the Results took away the trust of majority of voters. Actually mine has cracks!

To be honest most of the youths don't have trust in the body responsible for Elections, people kept a lot of trust in the body before the elections but the body failed them. Doubts is a big problem here. And in one way or another it's the Elections governing body that is keeping it's self in situations that encourage people to lose trust in it.

Before the 2015 Elections come it is the time for the body to sit down and see measures to be taken so as to avoid all the shortcomings that happened in these Elections. Lets create a system whereby the looser never looks for a fault knowing it is not there. Lets create a system that the society in general understands and trust in it, therefore it should real be transparent!

Presidential elections results for each polling post should be announced at the given local polling post, this will truly remove a lot of pressures that the body gets right now.

To Mr President, as a kijana with positive hope for my country, and on behalf of all other peace loving vijana, I would like to ask you in your new leadership of 5 years before you step down in 2015 give us the biggest democratic gift of all. Make the Election Body as independent as possible backed up by a new legislation in relating to all operations carried down by the Body. This will reduce accusations to future governments and furthermore it will rebuild and strengthen democracy, the trust in Free and Fair elections in our nation.

I believe by correcting the mistakes/shortcomings that happened in this year elections the Body will be helping in building trust between them and youths of this country. Lets remember without that trust the youths might be easily exploited to cause political unrests in the near future. Lets avoid all that by doing our best in ensuring that True and Fair Elections are always practiced in this beautiful nation!

ELECTIONS ARE HERE! VIJANA ARE WE PREPARED?

Prepared not to take bribes, but prepared to instruments of change. Change that is desperately needed. It can be any change, it depends from which prospect you judge it, but where i stand is a positive change by voting to serious people, am not talking about facial seriousness but seriousness in bringing maendeleo that we need.

Personally I am tired of corrupt officials, tired of politicians who are just talkers and not doers!!

It is our time vijana, time to take part in deciding our fate, our future prosperity and the future of our children and grandchildren for it is a solid truth that the people who will vote for in the coming few days will stay in government for a quite long time for them to cause lasting effects. Being positive or negative is what we are to decide!!

Lets stand up and MAKE AN IMPACT IN THESE ELECTIONS, LETS STAND UP AND DECIDE HOW WE WANT OUR COUNTRY TO BE LED IN THE COMING FIVE YEARS!

Lets not let political parties tear us apart, lets not let propaganda to influence our votes, lets let the need for a positive change, positive leaders influence our votes!

As we listen to the campaigns lets keep one thing in mind, LETS VOTE FOR REAL LEADERS AND NOT REAL POLITICIANS..LETS VOTE FOR PEOPLE WITH HUNGER FOR CHANGE AND NATION PROSPERITY.!!!

VIJANA WA TZ NA UCHAGUZI 2010!

Vijana wa Tanzania tunauwezo wa kufanya mabadiliko makubwa katika nchi hii kuliko kizazi kingine chochote kilichowahi kutokea since the Uhuru. Nasema hivi kwa sababu ni ukweli usiopingika ya kuwa kizazi chetu ndiyo kizazi kilichoelimika kwa wingi kulinganisha na vingine vyote vilivyopita. Asilimia kubwa ya vijana wa sasa wengi wamefika elimu ya secondary na kuendelea. Tumenufaika na globalization na kuwa kizazi kilichokuwa exposed to the outside world kuliko kizazi kingine chochote kilichopia. Vijana wa sasa tunaweza pata habari kirahisi kupitia simu za mkononi, television, internet, magazeti na vyanzo vingine vya habari.

Miaka 7 hadi 10 iliyopita lilikuwa jambo la ajabu kumkuta kijana wa miaka 14 hadi 18 akiwa na simu{ si simu ya tochi tuu bali advanced na zenye access to the internet}, lakini sasa hivi ni kitu cha kawaida tu.

Maendeleo haya yametuhakikishia kupevuka haraka kiakili na kuwa na mtazamo mpana sana, kuelimika mara nyingi kunamjenga mtu kutokukubali kuonewa, mfano tunaona migomo mingi vyuoni compare na miaka ya mababa na mamama zetu. Hii yote ni kutokana na kujifunza kutoka madarasani na dunia inayotuzunguka, kupitia globalization inasaidia kutupa ujasiri wa kusimamia haki.

Sasa tunatambua ya kuwa maendeleo ya mtu si kuwa na ‘uhuru na amani’ tuu, kwa hiyo campaign hizo hatuzitaki this year. Vijana wa the 21st Century tunatambua ‘uhuru na amani’ zinatakiwa zituletee social na economic development too. Miaka ya nyuma wanasiasa wengi wamewadanganya sana watu kutokana na kutoelemika kwao, JE VIJANA WA SASA TUTAKUBALI KUDANGANYWA PIA? Hell NO!

Kura zetu mkononi lets walk tall, tushiriki katika kupiga kura this year. ‘Giving up is not to wake up when you fall’ kwa hiyo usiwe na mentality yoyote mbovu ya kukuzuia kupiga kura. Maneno kama ‘hata ukimchagua Fulani, Yule mwingine atashinda tuu’ usiyape nafasi. Still believe in your vote na twende wote tukapige kura.

Tuachane na mentality ya kuwa siasa ni ya wazee na maneno mengine kama hayo, kumbuka viongozi watakaoingia madarakani effects za maamuzi yao hazitawa’affect wazee tuu. Kwa asilimia kubwa yatatu’affect sisi na our future lives.

Lets make this year’s election ZAMU YA KIJANA! VIJANA TUJITOKEZE KATIKA VOTING! THE LAST DROP CAN HAVE A HUGE EFFECT!!!!

Wazazi na wazee wetu wengi wanalamamika kuhusu tabia zetu vijana wa sasa. Mara hiki mara kile, je, kuna kweli maadili yameshuka? Ni sahihi kusema vijana wa sasa tunauacha utamaduni wa wazazi wetu, na je tunafanya makosa by doing so? Kila mtu anamtazamo wake ila mimi nashusha wangu.

Kwanza, hadi leo sijatambua utamaduni wa asili wa mtanzania. Naamini hakuna utamaduni unaowezwa kuitwa wa asili wa watanzania kwa sababu ndani ya Tanzania tuna zaidi ya makabila 120 nao wote wanatamaduni zilizo'completely different from one another. Kitu pekee tunachoweza kuita identity ya mtanzania ni the swahili language. Anayebisha aseme....

Kila kabila lina utamaduni wake, kwa hiyo nachoamini as vijana wengi wa sasa tunaokulia mbali na mazingira ya kabila zetu{mijini} lazima tukue tofauti na matarajio ya wazazi na wazee wengi.

Tunazungukwa na watu wa tamaduni mbalimbali as we live together and interact tunachagua tabia mbalimbali toka interaction tofauti kama marafiki, tunachoona kwenye television na other sources of media.
Hiki kizazi cha 'globalization', kutokana na hili kuna postive na negative effects. Lakini ninachotaka mkubaliane na mimi ni kwamba wetu wengi wamekuwa waki'base kwenye negative effects bila kuangalia upande mwingine wa shilingi na hiyo ni makosa.

Tutumie kisingizio kingine lakini si point ya utamaduni, hii ni kwa sababu utamaduni wa waafrika kalibia wote mavazi yao mengi yalikuwa na bado yanaonesha sehemu kubwa za mwili wao.

Kwa hiyo kwa mtazamo wangu mabadiliko makubwa ni vitu kama the use of cocaine na prostitution ndo tunaweza kuita mabadiliko mabaya ya kiutamaduni. Mambo ya kusema kuanza mapenzi mapema kwa vijana wa miaka kumi na nane hadi ishirini na kitu sio kitu cha kulaumu utamaduni wa nje na globalization. Tamaduni nyingi kama si zote za Africa wadada wanaolewa wakiwa na umri mdogo sana, miaka 13 hadi 18 ni msichana mkubwa kwa makabila mengi. So point zingine zitumike issues za moral/culture decay zinapoongelewa. Africa kama moja haina tamaduni/culture identity, tupo so different from one another. Unachokuabaliana nacho wewe kabila jingine litapinga. Mavazi ni tofauti sana, ila kitu kimoja in common ni kwamba yanaonesha sehemu kubwa ya mwili!

Sauti za Busara; The Right Place for a Better Understanding of Cultural Diversity!

As our Africa continent is being negatively affected by the globalization trend in terms of cultural values, Sauti za Busara stands as a better place to get the positive side of globalization. Sauti za Busara music festival presents the music from various parts of East Africa, the one stage presents to us what we should call the most beautiful cultural fusion of all time!


I argue African schools to find way to bring their students to experience 'the best positive culture event of all time!'.

Far from travelling to natinal parks and museums, its time for students to be exposed to the most beautiful musical festival of all time.

Tanzanian youths and what we can do in the coming General elections.

Our nation is passing through a unique era. An era with spread of politics popurality with major interest from from the young population too. Our youths generation of today is much educated than any generation since the independence.
Realising this I look forward for great changes in election atmosphere of this year.
I argue my fellow young people to go to ballots and use this unique opportunity to influence the changes we all need. Its time to insure the MPs and Presidential candidates are not going to rob our present and future, we should believe our votes can make a difference. Its time to stand tall and walk tall, ensuring in these elections we dont vote for 'a better future' promise BUT A BETTER TODAY! Not overshadowed by parties but by people, people who can influence changes and a better today!

MAKTABA ZINAZOUNGUA, VIJANA TUMEZITUMIA KWA KIASI GANI?

Mwaka 2009 umeisha vibaya kwa watanzania wazalendo na wanaojua historia ya nchi hii. Tulimpoteza mmoja wa waasisi muhimu wa nchi hii, Mzee Rashid Mfaume Kawawa. Naona faraja na furaha kwa kuwa mmoja wa vijana wanaojua mchango wa viongozi wetu waliopita. Viongozi ambao wakati wa utawala wao hawakugubukwa na tamaha za mali na wizi(ufisadi).

Nasikitika kwa sababu vijana wenzangu wengi wa sasa hatuwafamu watu hawa wala atujui mchango wao.
Tunachotakiwa kufahamu ni kwamba vifo vya wazee kama Hayati Mwl. Julius Nyerere na Hayati Rashid Mfaume Kawawa ni sawa na maktaba inayoungua. Ushauri wao na uwepo wao unasaidia sana muenendo wa serikali yetu. Ni watu wenye uzoefu na wameona mengi, ushauri wao ulikuwa na umekuwa wa muhimu na wenye mtazamo wa kati, nikimaanisha wakiangalia sio matajiri tu bali na hata maskini.

Tumepoteza watu muhimu sana, lakini hicho si cha kuongelea kwa sana kwa sasa tuangalie je kwa wale ambao bado wapo hai, TUNAWATUMIAJE?
